Sold as Parma but looked and tasted like it was left over chicken from a tandoori oven, very disappointing after all the good reviews, would not be surprised if all the reviews are from the owner because it was seriously that bad

Probably my most disappointing parma of the year. Ill Start with the positives. The chicken was of great quality, with one of the better batters ive experienced. After that, this parma had very little going for it. The topping consisted of a slightly sweet tomato chutney with a dry prosciutto and sparse cheese. The chips were maccas-like but still not great. The salad was probably the biggest issue. Had clearly been an afterthought and was just a few pieces of ur iceburg lettuce on the side. -1 bonus point for the cost and what you got.

Left the hotel saying "yeah that was good" but no bells and whistles really. good feed certainly, great feed I dont think so. I dunno if we were expecting more or not ? maybe that's why. Couldnt really point the finger at one particular thing it was just good. but not great.

NOt a bad Parma, but having said that not a GREAT parma either. If it was a chicken breast on its own it would have been fanstasic. I'm not sure what it was but there was something wrong with the crumb and there was hardly any ham. Also the salad and chips were ordinary. The dish looked ordinary on the plate as well. Not overly large but good chook.

$15.00 Tuesday parma + pot special, but I asked the barman if there was an 'upgrade' option to change the pot to a pint. $18.00 for the parma + pint. To summarise: The quality of the chicken breast is probably the best I've had in Melbourne so far. Chunky, real, tender, and juicy. Excellent, and just good enough to earn a bonus point! The chicken breast is the standout part here. It was a pleasure to eat. Size, size, size, chefs! This parma was medium sized, although it was pretty thick despite its small surface area. The skin was crispy in places, though unfortunately soggy in others. As you can see from the picture, the topping and sauce was not too bad, however, there was something about it that made me choose "good" instead of a "very good". There was some ham underneath, not too shabby! Quantity of chips was adequate, the chips itself were slightly underdone, I venture. Apart from this, some more seasoning would go a long way to improving this component. This part was ok. Salad was OK too, without being spectacular. It consisted mainly of lettuce and tomato, covered in dressing. Serving size was adequate, and did not detract from the main part (the meat) itself. To summarise: I was looking forward to this parma, the highest rated parma in the metropolitan area at the date of review. While the size of the parma could (nay, should!) be improved, other ways in which the dish could be improved better is to work on improving the crunchiness of the breast crumbing, improving the quality of the chips with better seasoning, and improving the quality of the salad. To end on a good note, probably the best quality chicken breast that I have seen in a parma as of today.

Disspointed on this one, the service was plain and simply awful. The Parma was burnt and the napoli was like eating a tomato in vinegar, we had high expectations however they were not met. Beer was very cold and pretty darn good though.

Perfection on the night that I was there, Solid rating from the parma lovers, and there were a few of us on the table. The chips also were sensational and didnt break any of the crime against chips rules, bomus point was for the side salad which was not offensive in it appearance as I usually push these to the side, however on this occasion, I ate it all... Highly recommend the Parma at the Brandon!
