    Popo the Monkey reckons:

Every so often, a parma surprises you, and today, the parma at The Harp did just that! The chicken breast was excellent! Not the biggest by any stretch of the imagination, but quite a solid amount. The meat itself was thick, tender, and well seasoned. Most excellent! The crumbing wasn’t too bad either, and the topping tasty. The cheese was of high quality, and the sauce underneath it abundant. The sauce was a bit sweet, granted, but I liked it! There were small pieces of shredded ham underneath the cheese layer too, which added to the taste. The chips were quite good – beer battered! I’m going to give them a bonus point for this. The serving of chips was above average, but could do with a little more all the same. Chips were served fresh and piping hot. Salad here was also a standout. Whilst the ingredients used were pretty standard, they were all pretty fresh! The cooking staff put just the right amount of dressing on it, not too oily, not too light either. Overall, a pretty good job, and a surprisingly good parma. Definitely worth a try if you’re in the area. Now if the chef could source a bigger chicken breast, we may have a contender here…
