    Scott reckons:

    I fairly simple parma serving but still very satisfying. Chicken was nice and thick, as were the chips. No salad in sight so it would have been good to see a few more chips on the plate. Nothing bad about this parma at all really, it's great pub food. Bonus point is for super speedy service, which includes 'service' buttons outside where they come to you. Brilliant.

    Ok, so I was all excited to head down to the Mitre Tavern for lunch last Friday as I had only heard good things about the Parma down there. Well was I dissapointed! The first thing that worried me was that my parma was at my table before I even had time to go to the bar for a drink. The chicken was dry and for the most part the crumbs (or what almost looked like batter) was thicker than the chicken. The ham covered maybe 1/4 of the chicken and the chips were soft and lukewarm. To add insult to injury it didn't even come with a salad?? I honestly walked away and struggled to think of a parma I have had that was worst.

    A utilitarian parma. Not bad, but not amazing. No salad or any sort of garnish (minus a point). The cheese was a little congealed, giving the impression of a reheat, but overall taste, texture etc all fine. Tad pricey given the above
