Despite other comments saying the chicken was very processed I disagree. It seemed like real chicken. The problem was whatever they did to it made it about as tough and dry as an old gumboot with a taste to match. Despite seeing bad reviews I thought how could it be (the rest of the menu was ordinary) so prepared for the worst and sorting an untameable hunger, it was still fell below expectations. The topping certainly wasn't saving it and whilst the chips and salad were ok (delicious cherry tomatoes btw) unfortunately the supposed hero of the dish brought the whole thing down. This thing looked good, the crumbs crispy, the chips crispy the chicken real. One taste of the parma and it was all over. PS bring a steak knife (or go somewhere else).

What a disappointment.... had our Christmas work lunch at the Glenferrie hotel and ordered a Parma... it did not have enough chips and the salad was small to non existing.

Was a delicious parma, mind you a bit on the pricey side. The ever popular ham was a good inclusion, the chips were top notch but a few more of them would have been a lot better. I even heard Mr.S say the parma itself was fantastic, albeit small.

I thought that with the new Glenferrie Hotel bistro, this parma would be fantastic. Especially when paying $20 for a parma, you expect at least one thing to be good, in this case the whole meal was shithouse. There were 11 Chips, the schnitzel was obviously processed crap. The topping was average. I couldve stayed at home and cooked a better parma myself. Will never go back there again.

I'm not 100% sure on the price, but oh well. Pretty basic parma, ticks all the boxes for ingredients but they have really dropped the ball on quality. The chicken was a little pink for my liking and while that wouldn't usually stop me eating it I still had no desire to finish my meal. The topping was good but probably ruined by the over-crumbing. Chips were very enjoyable and they put a really nice salad together. Bonus point for service and they have really done a great job with the renovations. As far as the parma goes though, maybe get a pizza instead.

Date of consumption: 8-Apr-2010 The size of this parma was lacking somewhat, and the price of $19 did not help things along. Some parts of the chicken breast crumbing was soggy, and just didn't have the oomph required to move it up to a 4 or 5. On the plus side, the chips were pretty nice, cooked to perfection, and the salad pretty kickass too! A bit pricey for $19, but there you go.
