    My ONLY reason for heading to the snowfields, went on the w/end and it was sensational. There is nothing about this succulent parma we dont like except you can only fit one in at a time.

    WoW What a fantastic Parma. Our group had 5 and all were excellent. Beautiful moist chicken fillet, great topping and the best melted cheese mmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm so good. Go to the top of the class!

    Well it's the Easter break and we decided to test out the top two Parmas.... First off the rank was Harrietville, I have to say the service was great (hence the bonus point) you order and within ten minutes you have your meal. I really can't pick on it too much, the topping was great but there was some onion that wasn't quite cooked otherwise full marks, well I'm yet to give full marks for salad, because you know the old song... You don't make friends with salad.... Great meal !

    deedy reckons:

    Its taken me ages to finally get to this one but I was not happy, the chicken was a bit on the dry side and the crumb was boring, great sized chook though. BUT where are the chips? I got five on my plate and they were UNDER the parma (cardinal rule). The wait time was horrendous for the amount of people there on the day. It has potential to be a great parma I could see that, staff were very pleasant and the beer was icy cold.

    we were hightly dissapointed with this one, made the trip there from the peninsular, they have confused quantity with quality. Big does not equate to best in the Parma world, the chicken was dry and the crumb was falling off. The napoli was very sour and not overly enjoyable at all. Will be back at some point in time to look for improvments.

    We decided to make our way to the Harrietville pub as have heard rave reviews for their parmys. We were not disappointed!! The parmy was nice and tender with lots of cheese and ham although a bit more sauce to cover the whole parmy wouldve made it even better!! The salad was good and the chips were great although a few more wouldve been nice. The only criticism is that we waited nearly an hour for our meal and I was starving!! Well worth the drive though!

    A great country pub, well worth the trip! The chicken was thick & juicy, there was plenty of tasty cheese and ham, the beer was icy cold. A few more chips wouldn't go astray, and just a touch more napoli sauce would have made it a perfect parmi. The minus point is because it took almost an hour to get our meal, and I was starving! Apart from that though, it was a great day out.

    hey from the group of eleven visiting bright... we saw the add in a bakery and had to try it out, WE LOVED IT! it has to be victoria's best parma if not australia's. thanks to all the staff especially the bus driver who took us there and back safely. keep cooking

    Dissapointing, I was looking forward to this parma and travelled to have one. It was CRAP, sorry guys but it's just not a great parma. Meat was not juicy, toppings were very very ordinary - sauce in particular was bloody awful.

    Huge dissapointment!!! It wa so dry and tasteless i hid the second half under my napkin cause i just couldn't eat it. The meat was thin and tasted like cardboard, Toppings were equally as cheap. The Guy behind the bar who recommended the parma must not have any taste buds.

    A visit to the Snowline has been a long time in the making. A four hr drive had me hanging for this pub's reputation to prove true. What can I say...........A great Parma. The size of the chicken was not huge, but was moist (ish) and thick. The crumb/coating needed to be cooked harder/longer for me as it was a little doughy. Sauce tasted awesome, but was not warm which was a letdown. Salad was a so so but the small handful of chips were seriously the best known to mankind. Overall a great experience, but not worthy of the #1. I know of at least 3 other venues in Melb. with a better Parma. Everybody should go to the Snowline when they get a chance. Hopefully just a bad day for the #1 on parma.com.au. minus point for bad execution of a good set of ingredients

    A truly delicious parma that appeared to also contain medicinal qualities, providing relief to a tired body from snowboarding all day and enough sustenance to enable drinking until the wee hours of the morning. Hence the bonus point.

    To be honest I was expecting a lot after reading this site... stopped on the way home after a week of skiing and was incredibly disappointed. The food was edible but in no way is this the best parma i have ever eaten. The pub had a great vibe though.

    The bonus point has been added because of the massive slab of Virginian ham that is used in the topping. The chicken was juicy which is twice as impressive given it's thickness - normally such thick parmas are dry. This is by far the best parma I've ever eaten.

    grant reckons:

    great parma at the snowline, homemade crumb mixture and fresh organic chicken puts this so far ahead of the usual frozen deep fried parma it has to be tried to be believed. Parma also served beside the chips which is as god intended. Why do so many other venues get this wrong?
