Popo the Monkey reckons:
I was attracted by the huge banner outside saying that the $10.00 lunch special applied between 12-3pm. For the price you get a parma, chips, and a pot. To summarise, I got what I paid for. Won't be coming back there in a hurry to have the parma again. Size of meat was on the small side. However, this wasn't so bad as the price of the dish was only $10. Unfortunately, while the diameter was okay, the meat was very very thin. Also, a little bit too over-processed for my liking... The crumbing was soggy, sadly. The cheese covering the topping was quite good, had a nice taste to it! Unfortunately, they went "too light" on the napoli sauce - I couldn't taste any! Kudos to them for putting a token piece of ham underneath the cheese topping though. They could really improve the topping here and it would just make the parma better as a whole. Chips were cooked okay, and seasoned just right with salt. However, the serving again was on the small side. They didn't provide much salad here, I managed to finish the salad in about four (huge) bites! Alright dressing on the salad too, I must add. To summarise: Price of the dish is this parma's greatest asset. Without insulting the chef too much, I liken this parma to McDonalds vs a premium burger outlet. You can really taste the difference in quality when you have a parma here. I hope the chef takes this to heart and starts researching other ways of improving their parma!
