after driving past this place every day on my way to and from work i finally made the chance to stop in and try the parma at the benvenuti, the slightly refurbished former back room of the Cambridge Hotel. The early signs weren’t great, as the place was completely empty but the service was quick and the parma was quite reasonable. the schnitty was big and of fairly good quality considering it was probably defrosted after we ordered it. the parma topping was basic as shit, but appearance aside was actually quite delicious, like what you’d make if you did it yourself at home in about 15 seconds, but probably tastier. the chips and salad were pretty mmeh, was nice to have them there but they didn’t really add much to the experience. I nearly gave a bonus point for the lightning time between ordering and serving, great stuff if you’re on a limited lunch break, and for my delightful lunch company Pinchy, but wasn’t quite sure if it really earned it, especially for $19..
