"chicken"
Like many of the traditional pub-style dishes on the Cascade Hotel's extensive menu, the serving size for the parma is massive. Given the price, the trade-off for quantity is the quality of the meat and toppings. The chips were disappointing last time we visited, soggy rather than crispy, although the separate side salad is always reliable. This place is packed most nights, but what it lacks in atmosphere is made up in cheerful and efficient service.

Heading back a second time during prime welfare payment day (Thursday evening around 6.30pm) service of two parmas was exceptionally fast, and much improved from the quality of the closing time feed.

Big piece of chook! Good fresh wholesome salad. Tip of the day, arrive here early.. kitchen closes at 8, we couldn't get a seat until ten to 8 and our meals arrived at about 8.30 and the quality illustrated that the kitchen had closed. Mildly disappointing given my previous experiences at this venue.
