Checked it out because it was the top rated place in Victoria on this site. It was pretty damn good. I wouldn't call it the best. Tomato sauce was a bit too chunky (I like a smooth sauce) and the salad was just lettuce with two cherry tomatoes thrown in the very bottom of it.

The Exchange Hotel parma in my opinion is highly deserving of its place at the top of the table for parmas in Australia. Quality of ingredients is streets ahead of other lesser priced birds and portion sizes satisfy large appetites. Extra point applied for offering the Ladies Parma - the regular parma would be too overwhelming for a woman.

No joke the BEST Parma going. Consistently good every damn time! Also great venue, group of us visit frequently. The staff are super fun and friendly as well. Big thumbs up!

Firstly, I'd like to say I'm surprised by how quickly this venue has risen up the ranks to take top spot on this fine website. Just a thought, but perhaps people's reviews shouldn't count towards a venue's rating until they review more than one parma? Nonetheless, I was intrigued by the new No.1 and decided to make my way to Port Melbourne with my trusted sidekick and a couple of mates. This was a tough decision as many moons ago (long before I discovered this website) I was treated to a... it pains me to say it... undercooked parma. But in the interest of fairness, I forgot about the past and went in expecting the best. And I was happy with what I received. Firstly, the size of parma - MAGNIFICENT. How a parma should be. The toppings were brilliant. The quality, very good. The chips were good, although I was left wanting just a few more. As for the salad, I have absolutely no idea how people can rate it 3 points. It's not possible. That's why I question this recent flood of 100% ratings. Scepticism aside, it was a top parma. I would recommend.

3 of us went in for lunch upon reading the reviews and we discovered that this is our new Parma Place. we all commented on how cold and clean the beer tasted for starters. The feed came out quickly but not too fast so we could enjoy our first drinks. The food was excellent and all the same in every aspect which can be a rarity with the parma. I was particularly happy with the sauce as it had no acidic taste to it and there was actual flavour.

What an excellent meal. 3 of us and all of our parmas were a consistent size and everything on the plate was sensational. The venue is also a top notch place. Service was excellent and the beer was cold and clean.

Really Really good feed. No wait for our meal and the environment is really pleasant. The food itself is just excellent. The parma has all the qualities you'd expect from a Top 10 Parma and has no complaints from me.

WOW what a great experience all round, from the venue, location, service, cleanliness to the food. The parma was exactly as reported, thick, juicy and everything it was accompanied by was exceptional. Loved the fact that the parma was nowhere near the sides for once.

After following the recent reviews hubby and I decided to pop into the exchange for a parma, we are city dwellers but have not had a meal here before. I had one he did not. Both meals were exceptional, the parma in particular was without fault. This is my first review and I can only go on my own personal taste. chicken was thick and juicy and the crumb was nice and had a crispy finish. THe sauce was very tomatoey and had a nice herb flavour to it. I was really happy with the cheese as it covered the entire parma and was very light golden brown. The veg I had were exceptional, fresh and hot with a very light seasoning that was very enjoyable. The meal was a perfect size, I was very full afterwards but did manage to eat my entire meal and I was reluctant to share as it was so nice. We will most certainly be back.

Ok those of you that know me and my ratings know that when I find a good parma i'm like a dog with a bone. CONSISTENCY for a good parma wins me over every time and i've just found the epitome of a consistently brilliant parma along with the venue. I hold my previous comments on this venue but wanted to give them a "bonus vote" for being so bloody consistent across the board. Cracking Job Guys keep it up.

Great feed, the parma was a good size with no wastage. Loved the herby crumb which was not overpowering and it was crisp no moisture on the crumb. Sides came separately which should happen EVERYWERE. The venue was excellent and particularly accommodating. All of the meal was hot and fresh. Was very happy with the lightly seasoned chips also. All up pretty much a faultless meal. We will be back, keep up the good work guys.

Hot, Fresh and delicious. a perfect amount of parma allowing me to have the entire meal and enjoying every morsel. Had lunch there and SOOOO wanted to go back for dinner. I was particularly happy with the sauce and the ham covered the entire top of the parma which is unusual. Chips devine and the salad dressing was honey mustard and was a real delight.

Just a bloody great parma and we also love the location and the venue. The chicken breast itself was thick and extremely moist and the crumb was just slightly seasoned. Mash and veg to accompany mine and they were both exceptional.
