"chicken"
Not even close to a parma. No crumbed topping at all, I was served what I assumed to be a chicken thigh floating in Napolitana sauce. Chips were nowhere to be seen. The chicken itself was serviceable but not spectacular (especially considering the price) and, again, not a parmigiana. Extra point deducted for the snotty attitude of the staff when I was audacious enough to make a query as to whether what I was being served was actually a parmigiana. Avoid.

A good all round parma and a truly great pub, chips on the side and nice and crisp, perfectly salted. Good size chicken with excellent thickness and juicy to boot. I highly recommend it.

This is where I feel like getting out a big red rubber stamp and stamping "NOT A PARMA" on top of a picture of this dish: 1) Leaving the skin on = massively not a parma. 2) No napoli sauce. Two baked tomatoes underneath does NOT count. 3) The stock like liquid in the bottom of the pot... ermmm... parma soup, no thanks. 4) Bread crumbs thrown on top - anyone for feeding some ducks? 5) Hello cheese... oh cheese? Where are you? Are you under the pile of bread crumbs somewhere? Yes there you are. It was an OK enough dish to eat, but just should not be parading under the guise of a parma!

Contrary to what the menu says, this is certainly not your traditional parmigiana. I didn't care very much for the flavour of the "topping" and I think the chicken "breast" was actually a thigh.

Reasonable topping, cheese and ham and sauce was good, but the chicken was thin and lacking taste. Chips were pretty average shoestrings. An ok parma, but not a good one.
