An okay parma, at an okay price. I've always shunned the restaurant at Monash University, reasoning it was too fancy for someone of my budget. Since I've graduated and may be leaving Melbourne on a permanent basis, I had to try this parma. We visited on the 9/12/2009. The size of the meat was only okay. I'm tossing up between a 2 and a 3, but ultimately went for the 2 instead because the size was just ok in my books. The quality of the meat was not so good here, it tasted like they used supermarket schnitzel and didn't bother sourcing their own chicken breast fillet. SHAME! The crumbing was good though, and crunchy. The topping was likewise not too bad, though a little bit on the scarce side. I deducted one point here for the lack of ham, however, it was nice and cheesy. The fries were done well, overall. The quantity was above average here. Seasoning wasn't too bad either. The salad likewise was not too bad, quite competent, although somehow not deserving full marks. The dressing was reasonable without rocking my socks off. Overall, okay parma at an okay price, if you can stand the processed meat. Otherwise, this is worth a shot if you're passing by Monash University Clayton.
