First impressions are often misguided and in the case of this meal, this rings oh so true. Impressive when placed in front of me, but on closer inspection things start to go a little downhill. The parmy was huge but the chicken was of average thickness and a tad dry in places. The topping was below average with a straight-from-a-jar flavoured tomato paste covering the somewhat soggy crumbed meat. There was no ham at all (WTF??) and the little amount of cheese there was, looked like it had been styled by a couple of feathered friends perched above the plate with a dodgy bowel. The fries were well cooked, seasoned nicely but quickly became soggy under the parmy – a big no no. The plate was big enough to accommodate well aired fries with a little creative thinking. The rocket salad looked tired with too many leaves and red onion and not enough of the other salad items or dressing. I’m giving a minus point for not having ham and smothering the fries. The meal was filling but not the greatest overall package. I liked the style of the ceramic plate though!

When the plate was brought out I was surprised at how huge the meal was. The parmy took up half of the plate and the salad took up the other half. The parmy was nice and crunchy with lots of sauce and cheese. It wasnt the greatest quality but still wasnt bad. The salad consisted of pretty much a whole lettuce, a tomato and a couple of slices of cucumber. There were plenty of fries which tasted great with the gravy. A very filling meal - dont think I will be able to eat tea tonight!

I have to admit, I wasn't expecting much, and sadly it didn't even live up to my expectations. While the serving size was huge, the chicken was rubbery, the sauce was tomato paste topped with a very thin covering of cheese, & didn't detect any ham at all! To bring it down even further, it was served on top of the fries (not chips!) and the poor old salad had definitely seen better days. I think there is a good reason that this place is known for it's pizza!
