The bonus point is for consistency, I have a parmi here at least once a month, and am yet to have a bad experience. Friendly staff, good service, always huge, tasty parmis with a variety of toppings. There is a difference between the front bar's $10 pot & parmi, and the bistro's $16 version, so if you have an extra $4, go for the bistro, you won't be disappointed!

You really cant go to the Newie without having a parmy. We ate in the restaurant part where they offer a variety of toppings which is always a plus! I chose the prawns topping and it was awesome although not a big fan of onion and there was quite a lot on there. The parmy was huge (as usual) but i managed to get through it all but now cant concentrate at work as Im so full! There was heaps of crispy chips and the salad was basic but nice. Love going to the Newie as never walk away disappointed!!

Great BANG! for your money . . . simply awesome value. Standard $10, only at the front bar/lounge for a Parmi & Beer (or softdrink if you are working). Large size meat & juicy cheese toppings "so as the ladies says :-) I don't really care, the beer covered all my expectations" not to mention a Lightning service (especially handy when you have a short lunch break), accompanied by to Lascious ladies . . . hmmm . . . what else could I possibly want more in a lunch break?

Best value for money in town!! You nearly need two plates to fit everything on!! The parmy is massive! Very crispy and juicy. Very rare to find cheese and topping that covers the whole thing, and the Newmarket does not disappoint! The salad couldve done with a bit more dressing, but the chips were awesome. Strongly recommend trying one of the Newmarkets famous parmys- and actually try finishing it!!

There are 2 parmis at the Newmarket, the $10 pot + parmi available at the bar, then the $16 parmi out the back in the bistro. This was the first time I have tried the $10 special, and I must admit, I was worried that it wouldn't come up to the standard of the bistro, but I didn't need to worry! Although it didn't come with ham, and the salad is no where near the excellent standard of the bistro, it was still huge, tender, cheesy and delicious. For $10 with a pot of beer, tell me where you can find better value in Albury-Wodonga!!

Best value meal in town, well this is it! For $10, including a pot of beer or softdrink, you can’t go wrong. The parmy is humongous! Even for a big guy like me, I struggle to finish it, but finish it I always will. Those rulers in the photo are at least 16cm in length! The chicken was of consistent thickness and quite juicy. The topping was plain with a thin basic tomato based sauce covered with a generous topping of tasty cheese. There was no ham, but to keep the price low, maybe this is the ingredient to be omitted. I believe the parmy you can order out in the main bistro area (as opposed to the front bar), has the ham and other exotic toppings available, but at a price. The few chips which were not sweating under the weight of the parmy chips were ok, pity for the others (use a separate bowl if space is lacking!). The salad was average, also being slightly covered by the parmy. A few rocket leaves, pieces of tomato and thin strips of carrot, with a barely there dressing. Not the best overall package in the parmy stakes but definitely a great cheap feed.

Gave this one the benefit of the doubt and went back for another try. Bigness doesnt equal greatness, chicken was big but dry, napoli was ordinary, there was NO ham, yes NO ham WTF? and the cheese was falling off. It has so much potential but is only just ok :( Chips could have done with some seasoning.

Tried the Greek style parmi today, which had feta cheese & kalamata olives as well as ham, cheese & napoli sauce, and it was delicious. The scattering of fresh parsley & oregano over the top really gave it a lift. The salad was outstanding, gorgeous threads of carrot & beetroot swirled through a greek salad to match the parmi, earning it a bonus point. The chips were great, although half were buried under the parmi, but the parmi is so huge that the only way around it would be to serve them in a seperate bowl!

Good size but not great quality in the parma steaks for me. not juicy enough, cheese was burnt on one side and running off teh other. sauce was to acidic. didnt cut the mustard so to speak. Will have another crack at it again soon though.

Was in Albury for work 2 weeks ago with work and tried this parma (serial parma man) Was a bit dissapointed with the quality in general. Great size but you dont comprimise quality for quantity in the parma stakes in my book. Good but not great.
