The Park Hotel, TAKE A BOW. Bravo! Firstly, great pub. Good selection of beers and friendly staff who even gave us a free keyring. That's a bonus point right there. As for the menu... I've never seen anything like it. 3 parma options... THREE! The junior for $15, the original for $22 and the EXTRA LARGE for $30. My trusted sidekick and I didn't know the XL existed but once we knew it did - there was no other option. The girl at the counter, bless her, had a surprised look on her face when we ordered two XL parmas. "They're usually for sharing," she said. Sharing?! Pfft. $60 and 10 or so minutes later... what can I say?! It was a sight of sheer brilliance. Two params, each the size of Tassie, give or take. But, I was cautious... I've had "super" parmas before that were very poor quality. BUT NOT THIS TIME! Brilliant! Quality of meat was excellent. Topping was almost excellent - bacon instead of ham is fine by me, but there wasn't enough of it. Chips and salad, pretty bloody good! Would I recommend? YES. Oh, I almost forgot. Whatever you don't finish, the staff simply package it up for you to take home. I ask you... what more do you want?!

Wow. This was probably the best piece of chicken I've ever had in a parma. This was a double breast that had not been tenderised, it was plump, juicy, and insanely massive. The chips were also one of the best I've ever had. They almost disappeared like a cloud in your mouth, reminiscent of a perfect gnocchi. The salad was great, fresh and tasty ingredients with a nice oil dressing, albeit just slightly too heavy handed with the dressing. The parma topping was again excellent, but the sauce was lacking just a little bit of zip to achieve full potential marks. The cheese was plentiful and not overcooked, so no complaints there. I did have some naked schnitzel poking out at the ends, but this allowed me to see just how perfect the bird was. The crumbing was so clearly home made from fresh breadcrumbs, not packet crap, and absorbed just the right amount of oil to be crispy without being heavy. The pub itself is pure charm. The circa 1950 cash register in the bistro, accepting cash only, is a nice touch, and the exposed brick and mutliple fire places make this the perfect place to escape the cold Melbourne weather and enjoy some top shelf pub food. Try out some of the tapas if you think you can fit it in, the bombas, meatballs and arancini were all absolutely amazing, although my friends and I could barely breathe after sharing these 3 between the 3 of us and then finishing a parma each. Bonus point is for the country pub atmosphere and great bottled beer selection at dirt cheap prices.

An excellent Parma. I've had a few on the list so far and this is the best of them. I'm a big bloke and this parma nearly beats me.

LOVE the parma’s here!! The sauce is amazing!!! The beautifully cooked bacon and sprinkling of parsley give it it’s own uniqueness. Plenty o cheese and a good serving o chips (which are not entirely covered by the parma I might add) are also nicely cooked. The salad is also really good, nice dressing, never too soggy and always fresh. I’ve moved suburbs away but STILL COME BACK for that amazing meal. Seriously worth a look. Almost don’t want to leave a review as it might become too popular?!

Bacon instead of ham, cooked to perfection. Fresh home made napoli I do like the chips under the Parma so it soaks the juices.
