"chicken"
It's been a while since I provided a review, it's good to get back into fray. Stopped by at the Royal Hotel Queanbeyan on a public holiday to check out their parma. Disclosure: I selected the "Spicy Chicken Parma" option for $27.90. The regular parma option is $26.00. My dining companion and I ordered at the stroke of noon, and to our surprise our parmas arrived eleven minutes later! Lucky us, they must have had a couple of crumbed chicken breast ready to go. First impressions were good, there was a healthy lashing of sour cream and guacamole on top, next to half a taco. Pretty cool way to start the meal. The chicken breast fillet itself was great. Pretty decent size (definitely big enough for most people, only those humongous freak of parmas get 5 in my book...) Crumbing was good and crunchy, meat was juicy and pretty tender. The topping was pretty good as well. The double-smoked ham mixed well with the mozzarella and the Napolitana sauce. I personally loved the jalapenos sprinkled though the sauce as well, gave it a nice twist. I didn't really taste the salsa that much, unfortunately. Chips were good, and in a good amount. Crispy, with chicken salt/paprika on them. Pretty good. The only complaint is that the parma was placed on top of the chips and that made some of the chips soggy. The salad was good. A little low on quantity but decent nevertheless. I subtracted a point from the overall total because the price was high for what we got. While it was a enjoyable meal and the meal arrived really quickly, the $26.00/$27.90 price point is just way too high!
