Schnitfaced Thursdays at the pub... WOW They have a special menu with half a dozen parmis at $18 a pop. I just had the classic, but it came with house-smoked ham! The Cheese and Tomato Base were decent quality too, and chips crispy and to the side! Salad was in a cool little jar which kept it out of the hot food. Will be back!

The parmy tasted great, although the sauce was a bit overpowering, there were plenty of chips and salad. All up - a great hangover cure!

There were 2 let downs for what would have been a great parmi; it had chopped bacon bits rather than ham, and the sauce was horrible. Otherwise, the chicken was tender, the salad was great, and the chips were pretty good too. Next time I will try the schnitzel instead of the parmi.

Country drive parmy outing this weekend with a recommendation to try the parmy at the “Top Pub” in town, a reference to the geographical location along the sloping main street in town and not necessarily the quality of their cuisine. The parmy was small to average in size and was of reasonable thickness and quite tender. There was no sliced ham but shredded bacon and a miserly dollop of cheese over a strong flavoured napoli sauce. The crumbing on the parmy was very good being consistent in coverage, not soggy and not burnt. The few chips present were well cooked and crunchy, though there was plenty of room on the plate to spread them out from under the end of the parmy. The salad had the usual vegetable suspects with a light but tasty dressing. With some improvements on the quantity of the topping and chips, this parmy may one day make this pub’s moniker refer to its meals as well.
