Decent size, it looked small when it arrived but i am comfortably full and not sickly so. Nice thick slices of ham on top, lots of yummy cheese but not so much tomato sauce. Salad was a normal pub type salad consisting of lettuce, onion, tomato and cucumber. Chips were excellent but arrived under the parmy which has unfortunately become normal these days. Good enough to come back for and trust you will get a good parm.

It's great to be back reviewing parmas, it's been a while... The Civic Pub on a Saturday night, I had no idea what to expect,however, I was pleasantly surprised. Things started off well - excellent service, the parma came out within about twenty minutes of me ordering. The size of the chicken breast itself was slightly above average, and reasonably tender and juicy. The crumbing was still crunchy. The topping - I quite liked it - though others on my table preferred less cheese on top and a thinner slice of ham. The ham was decently sized and pretty good quality. The sauce itself was fair, though I couldn't tell if it was made from scratch or whether it was straight out of a jar. The chips were crunchy, though they could have dished more of it up. I think it might have been beer-battered chips too, so add '1' to this review if it's something you look for. The parma WAS served over the chips - I personally don't mind and moved the parma aside straightaway. It was an above-average serving of salad. It was fresh, and had a slightly tangy, mustard sauce over the top. It was a basic garden salad - lettuce, rocket, onion, and fresh tomato - simple but fresh. So all in all, a good parma, though I wonder at the price. Are all parmas around the $20 dollar mark these days? I don't think I've done reviews for a couple of years now. Seems a little on the expensive side, though a competently made parma at the end of the day that is satisfying.
