The parma quality was pretty decent, but it was definitely at least half the size of their normal parmas. I'd say it's pretty bad form for an establishment to have a parma specials night and then serve up a different parma to the one they do every other day of the week (without any indication) Won't be returning.

First time there and the Wednesday night special is fantastic. Chicken parma of reasonable size, not huge. Great topping (includes ham) and sauce tastes great. Thickness of chicken very good. Chips were the best ive ever had but probably not enough. I would definitely return to this venue again.

I love this Parma! Good size, great taste. Particularly like the salad. Not a big chip person in the first place. A definite must try!

In todays day and age pub goers need to be wary of the Parma at pubs, but not with this one. The Doutta Galla delivers a fantastic Parma with quality meat and toppings. Consistency is king, and that is what I've gotten time and time again.

Wednesday $12 Parma night. The Doot never fails to impress with their Parma's. Have been a long time diner there and the Parma is always of a consistant and awesome quality. My stomach never leaves unhappy.

I have been meaning to do my reviews for a long time - this parma was smashed over a month ago
I remember it like it was yesterday... large, tasty and filling!
I guess the usual downside to most pubs are the way they chuck the parma on top of the chips, but this is nothing to shed tears over as it's pretty much expected!
If you act fast, you can clear the chips from underneath and they wont go soggy!
I was impressed with the size of this parma, and thickness of chicken was nice, not too thin and not too thick... entire meal left me very satisfied.
I would recommend this place

Have been in Melbourne over 6 months now and this was a standout dud. First impression was good, it was well sized but all breadcrumbs and cheap cheese. The chicken was about the width of a credit card at best. Served on top of the very ordinary chips and the salad was laughable. Do not even bother.

- points as meals arrived seperately. i had finished my meal before some people even got their food. Small parma - topping very average. And the fries weren't great as they were cold. I guess you get what you pay for. unfirtunate that this is my local.

Bonus points for the Chips! Holy crap they're awesome! The same can't be said for the parma though. A little disappointing. The last review looks a little biased doesn't it? If you're going to the doot make it a beer only night and have a crack at the house beer - the doot. Well worth a drink.

Don't be fooled by this pub's modest yet elegant exterior. Tucked away within is a kitchen that churns out quality parma after quality parma, so consistently that this particular menu item has become a weekly fixture for myself and my colleagues. The cost is $10 at lunchtime from Mondays to Thursdays, and you'll pay $17 all other times. The parma itself is precisely what a parma should be - a butterflied chicken breast which is crumbed and topped with ham, tomato sauce and cheese. It is cooked to perfection, and grilled so the cheese comes out a nice glistening golden brown. The texture is crispy yet tender, and the top quality ingridients ensure that every mouthful is as good as the last. A word about the chips. Beer battered, deep fried, lightly salted, and completely delicious. Within the crisp and tasty outside is a light fluffy interior that ensures that one is never enough. The salad is very decent as well. Far from a token salad consisting of nothing but tomato and iceberg lettuce, it is comprised of a fresh range of salad ingredients with a light balsamic dressing. Overall the parma experience is top notch and completely satisfying. If my stomach permitted it I'd definitely get two.

As a regular parma consumer at the Doot today's experience was pretty much average. Salads were most disappointing and were simply placed as an after thought. However, parma itself was done well with decent real chicken, and a good helping of Napoli to compliment the breadcrumb base. The Doot's chips are mad too! Better salads please!!!
