The Lambton Park Hotel

Lambton Park Hotel has a great little Italian restaurant, the parma was a nice change (And so it should be from an Italian restaurant), a full chicken breast instead of a snitzel, the sauce had real tomatoes and eggplant in it which was a good change, the only problem was that the sauce was a tiny bit watery which soaked the potatoes but this was only a minor setback. The vegies were well cooked and seasoned, extra point for the speedy service, this parma sets the bar in Newcastle by far and away!

This was my first foray into the chicken breast parmigiana territory and overall it was pretty satisfying. The Lambton Park Hotel fancies itself as a bit of an italian culinary destination so it tried to deliver a pretty authentic parma, the topping was heavy on actual tomato chunks and eggplant but what a little too watery for my liking. the cut of chicken was very thick and really well cooked. the baked potatoes suffered a little courtesy of the watery topping but were still quite good, and the steamed vegies are always a good touch.
