On first impressions, WOW! This thing was a behemoth. My eyes lit up and the first bite was everything I had hoped for and more. It was a bit of hard work getting the chips out from beneath the parma, but who am I to complain about such an issue? The more the merrier, I say. The only real downside was how flat the chicken was at the opposite end of my plate. Think and juicy at the start but a bit like a pancake at the end. And the cheese, there was too much for my liking. I loved the idea of the creamy salad but not sure how fresh the tomato was. All in all, my trusted sidekick and I were full, and that's all that really matters. By the way, we had a fantastic selection of beers to choose from.

Took the chips only option with gravy which was a good choice, parma was good, could have been a bit bigger and the cheese could have been melted more.

My only complaint here is that the parma is over priced and the plate is too small for the food provided. Quality is high for sure but when it heads north of $20 you expect it to be truly outstanding. Would choose something else on another visit.

our first parmas came out burnt but when we notified the waitress she offered to replace them, the next ones were prefect. I deducted a few points for the salad on my partners behalf as she doesn't like corriander, salad was also a bit small. Open fire was good, and range of beers and atmos are great....could have gone some music with my parma tho ; )

We decided to go and trial a 'different' parma from the parma.com VIC top 10. To be honest, the tap house was not the original plan and was the third venue we approached that afternoon. Anyway, the tap house parma was great. The venue (downstairs) is not the best to eat in. The bar has a great atmosphere and HEAPS of great beers on tap which I believe change often. The parma came quickly and the first thing i noticed was the nunber one no no. Crimes against chips with the small serve of chips hidden UNDER the parma. Chips did however taste great as did the fancy salad. The parma was a nice piece of chicken covered in one of the most fresh tasting toppings I've ever had. Ham and cheese were also tasty and overall this was a really nice parma. If the venue is important to your parma experience, then go to the tap house. Tasty food, tasty beer and tasty location. If your one eyed parma, you could do better in Melbourne over this venue. I enjoyed my visit and will return. The search continues. ( no pic of parma as venue was dark)

Went here for a work lunch based on the most recent parma reviews. Was OK and that's about it? will be back soon as I see there is potential but not in the same league of some of the others I've gone to based on the site.

This was my third time here but my first comment. The chicken was either overcooked or just a bad qulaity chook, I'm not sure which one. The chips were oily and tasted like they had been deep fried more than once and the topping tasted kind of old? dunno difficult to pick what was wrong wtih it, simply put it was not good.

this was by far the thickest parma i have ever seen, the chicken was great quality and the crumbing was excellent, right on the edges might have been a little overcooked but the taste was still sensational. the topping was great but didnt quite cover the whole parma. the chips were excellent and came with their own dipping sauce, my only complaint is that there wasnt a huge serving to match the rest of the meal. the dressing on the salad was absolutely fantastic.. all in all this was a superb parma, it could earn a bonus point for any of the things i have mentioned so far, but i will instead award it for the excellent choice of locally brewed beers / cider on tap.

Although my parma was slightly overcooked i blame this solely on simple chef error & not the lack of quality ingredients or thought process that went into nailing their recipe initially. The chips were possibly the best I've ever eaten (with or without a parma) which even came with aioli dip & the simple yet effective salad really pulled the dish together. This is a venue that really has a passion for beers & you only have to look around the room & endless bar taps to realise you could do some serious time there before being booted for sucking the place bone dry!

Could not fault this thing.. attended with Barrack last night.. best cut of poultry ive consumed in a while. great size chook, wasnt processed and it came relatively quick too. chips were flawless too and came with aioli without even asking for it. bonus point awarded for the biggest range of beers ive seen in a while. more stubs u could poke a thirsty tongue at. 10/10
