Went to this venue last week, the parma, venue and service was faultless. Highly recommended. The meal ws to and fresh, arrived in a good timeframe and the chips and salad were also exceptional.

I always like to look at other people's plates when I walk into a pub to see what's on offer. When I walked into The Mint, all the plates were empty. They were spotless. And now I know why. My trusted sidekick went as far to describe it as his "favourite parma ever". And I tend to agree with him. For $11.99 (the Tuesday special) it's far and away the best value in Melbourne. One bonus point is not enough, Everything from the rectangular plate, to the service, speed, price, and even the seeded mustard was spot on, The only downside was the absence of tomato in the salad. But apart from that, the bird was pretty much flawless. Hats off to the good folk at The Mint for a job well done. I'll be back.

A thick quality parma of the perfect size, big without feeling stuffed once finished, crispy on the outside and tender in the middle with great topping. Bonus point for the seasoned chips and seeded mustard dressing on the salad. Fantastic summer venue due to the outdoor area but even on a Wednesday it was full.

Finally got round to The Mint to try this very overrated parma. It was burnt and overcooked which ruined the taste and made it tough and dry. It's a shame because it was good quality meat. The flavours weren't there. The chips were really nicely seasoned and salad was nice too. Overall I was disappointed and wouldn't try again. Priced reasonably though.

After some dissapointing Parmas lately I have returned to what I consider to be the best Parma in Melbourne (obviously this does not include the number one parma which is out of town). It was pretty much faultless - no correction, it was faultless. This includes the service. Congratulations to the Mint for consistency and the best Parma I've had in a very long time.

Had a friend from the UK staying with us and she loves parmas, so I got on the site and had a look at the best for 2010. I was disappointed that two are in NSW and the top two are out of town, so I went with one that rated top ten in 2009 & 2010 and also had a Special on Tuesday nights. Ok, to the parma, I wasn't disappointed (none of the 5 of us that ordered them were), the size and quality of the meat was great, the salad was really nice as well. The chips were thin, I prefer thick cut but they were actually really good (could have been all the salt on them, I LOVE salt) they were under the parma, which I hate, but the chips were still in good nick. Overall it was great, and so was the service, the guy behind the bar looked after us with drinks and meals, and well worth the extra point I gave for it. WORTH checking out.

An excellent Parma. Once again I do NOT rate or eat the salad so no points given. This is half price on special on Monday or Tuesday nights. (I can't remember which night I went.) Well worth a visit.

I’m outraged this parma is ranked 4th on the grid for the peoples state & food capital of Australia. Not only does it make me question the pallets of those that have ranked it so highly but also the level of quality on this list when such a mediocre meal runs just shy of a podium finish. Me & two mates who know the way around a bit of bird, ripped into the establishment filled with corporate clowns where we were informed the kitchen was closing at 8pm, making me question demand. Aside from waiting far too long for our meals (pots were delicious), there was actually nothing that really stood out & I was unimpressed that they served up fries instead of chips. As far as I’m concerned, any parma in the top ten should be worth going out of your way for & even though it was only ten mins away; this is merely a place where you’d tap chicken if it’s within walking distance. What people tend to forget is that ratio & quality ingredients need to be spot on to make a good parma, great & this shack was lacking both.

3 of us went for a parma on a Wednesday, we paid the full price of $18.90 instead of the Tuesday's $12 special. All 3 parmas were perfect. The chicken was cooked to perfection, juicy with great flavour. The crumb was excellent, the napoli had a great "home made" texture and the cheese was as expected. The chicken came partially on the top of the fries, but its cooking was soo perfect that it did not create any sogginess. It was too large to have everything fitting the plate any way. We had a large quantity of perfectly cooked French fries and the salad was very large and good. The dressing may have had a bit too much vinegar, but it balanced well with the ret of the plate. Bonus point for the size and quality of the sides.

Best Parma ever tasted wow !!!! Top notch chicken. Cooked to perfection topped with 2 types of cheese and plenty of it and a rich and smooth Napoli sauce but not too much will go back at least once a week especially for 12 bux not going to break The budget ... Fantastic top Melbourne Parma for sure!

Quite dissapointed on this one. The chicken was dry and the entire outide (the thin bit) was burnt and couldnt be hidden by cheese for long. The napoli was very overpowering and all in all this was not a great parma. Salad was great but I was there for the parma :(
