On a saturday arvo nothing beats a parma and a pint. This time I opted for the veal parma, and boy was it good. Great size, just under 1cm in thickness (not too thick as veal can get quite tough if cut too thick), fresh flavorsome sauce and beautifully toasted cheese on top. But it was the chips that were the real highlight, thick, crisp, perfectly salted and not buried under the parma. Top it off with a decent side salad and some freshly buttered crusty bread and it was the perfect saturday lunch. Was tempted to deduct a point as the parma was deep fried, but the chips sure made up for it.

What a parma, pub grub at the rose hotel is the way its ment to be and this parma was no exception. Meal came out within 15 minutes of ordering (on a busy Saturday night), great sized piece of veal, beautifully sweet sauce and golden melted cheese. Great chips and salad to boot. One bonus point for the piece of buttered bread so i could mop up the additional sauce left on the plate. 2 very big thumbs up!

"chicken"

Very poor quality chicken that wasn't fresh and tasted like it had been in the freezer for far too long. No ham and the cheese was only partially melted. This pub does great food at very reasonable prices but the parma really lets the side down. Truly disappointing
