I'm a bit late with this review, but the memories will last a lifetime (except for how much it cost, which I've forgotten). Credit to the Tower Hotel, who served up an impressive bird without any fuss. The shaved ham on top was different, but it worked. A good, solid performer overall.

Where to begin? It's not that often that I leave a negative bonus point - I think the last one was for a parma without ham many moons ago - but the Tower Hotel has forced my hand. Firstly, the service. Ordering a couple of parmas and a couple of beers at the bar (when we were the only people waiting) took at least 10 minutes. We were then told we could find a table and our beers would be brought to us. Another 10 minutes later, we're sipping on different beers to what we ordered. Then the first parma came out, which I politely passed to my trusted sidekick. Little did I know the second parma was more than 20 minutes away, long after my trusted sidekick had devoured his! As for the bird itself, it was good at best, and that's being generous. The chips were OK, but the salad... well, the salad was days old. You know when you leave a tomato in the fridge a few days too long and it goes all soft? The Tower nailed it. Harsh, but fair.

$12 parma special on Mondays, but today was a Wednesday. Apologies for not taking a photograph for readers too. The parma has a very lovely topping on it, probably one of the best. The quality of chicken was good, and serving size was pretty okay too. +1 given for the quality of topping and the fact that the chef swapped wedges for the standard chips. The quality of the chicken was pretty good. It was definitely natural, albeit not such a big size. It was only average, or slightly above. The crumbing was good, and crispy. The topping is where this parma really shines. I don't know what cheese they use, but it's yummy. The nap sauce was pretty good as well, it was quite obvious to the taste, and combined very well with the cheese. A good-quality piece of ham was served under the topping, which really set it off. The wedges were cooked perfectly, and the serving size was adequate. The salad was definately above average in the serving size department, and the dressing not too bad either. Overall a pretty good parma. I would have no problems going to this pub every so often if I lived in the local area. This parma could be improved by increasing the meat portion, increasing the chip serving, and decreasing the price by a couple of dollars. Worth a shot for anybody interested!
