Back here for a third time. I "chickened" out and just had the normal parma despite the whole "parmas of the world" thing being advertised. I can almost certainly assure you, come here and you will not be let down. You will get a good parma, the textures are fantastic; thick, beautifully cooked chicken breast, a generous spread of cheese, sauce and ham. It's not an overly flavourful topping (there's other options of course), but it does the job. There were some very small parts of the parma where the crumbing was a bit thick or crisp and the chicken was less impeccable, but it all goes down well. The chips have a unique cut and are perfectly cooked but lack a bit of salt and are partially under the parma. Two more things- the bowl of sauce is unnecessary and I wouldn't be surprised if the kitchen looked like a crime scene with all the sauce that would get thrown out from the parmas- and the salad was just a pile of rocket and a couple of little bits of onion, a far cry from a salad with much more care hat they've previously dished up. The parma is a great size for a good meal, for me there's no second guessing that you'll finish it and if you haven't eaten for 4 or so hours beforehand you'll go home feeling perfectly content.

Limited menu for St Patrick's Day, which meant the parmas were more or less pre-prepared and lacked a certain freshness. Despite covering half the plate, the chicken was too thin, and the topping a little dry. The chips, with chicken salt, were good, but the salad left a lot to be desired. Would look elsewhere for a parma in the CBD.

My second parma here, albeit 3 and a half years on. As you walk down from the busy city you find this below-surface beauty, endowed with polished wood, curtains and sport memorabilia resulting in a satisfying and comfortable atmosphere. As it was special parma day, parma after parma caressed in the waiters' arms being rushed out of the open kitchen almost provided pre-meal entertainment. The lunch crowd thinned and mine came. A fine parma, very big and a perfect size to satisfy my hunger, not too big. The cheese mix was very well appreciated, the sauce was maybe a touch light on but quite tasty. Ham was lovely. Good amount of topping. The chicken breast was fantastic, well crumbed and well cooked, not overly thick but real, tender chicken. Chips were alright, but I think lacked some golden crunch and salt, and a bit oddly shaped too. Very generous quantity however, just like the parma. The salad was simple but tasty, complimented well despite some of it being trapped underneath. Though fractionally worse than my last one here (chips were sensational on that occasion), its a very good parma, far better than average. You can tell it's cleverly made and well prepared with high quality ingredients. You won't be let down. The parma went down very nicely. Good price too. I may return and try a flavour other than the original.

Size was perfect, it may look small on the plate but it was a plump bird, very filling without making me want to throw up. Unfortunately the chicken was a little overcooked so it was a tad dry and occasionally a little tough, but I'm a tough critic in that area. Sauce and cheese were good, played their role well. The sauce was maybe just a little too acidic rather than 'rich' though. The stand out on this plate was those chips, they were the crispiest, crunchiest sticks of potato, potentially the best chips I have ever eaten in my life, ever, in my whole life, ever. The salad was neither here nor there. Predominantly lettuce with just a flick of onion, tomato and cucumber, but it makes up 0.5 - 1 point for being lightly tossed in a delicious creamy dressing. Solid parma in a traditional sports bar that I'd be happy to eat again.

Standard parma this time and while still very excellent it isn't quite as good as the Wednesday special. Size is brilliant, chips are flawless. Parma was a touch overcooked and topping did need a little something to perk it up. Salad again was very basic but still good. Bonus point for a great venue and service. Still my most reliable place for a brilliant parma.

What an unexpected surprise. I went thinking I'd be having a good parma, what I got was easily one of my top 5 parmas ever. Overall meal size: Huge, Parma: Infallible, Chips: brilliant, and I'm being EXTREMELY picky when I say that the chips could have done with a flavour other than salt, because they did also include tomato sauce. It just happens that tomato sauce isn't my thing. The salad was nice but a tad basic, normally I'd be excepting of it but when it's up against a parma and chips like these it really stands out. The +1 is for short shorts. You'll have to go there to see what I mean ;-). The service and venue are top notch as well. Simply amazing.

Date of consumption: 7-Apr-2010 Topping had pretty good cheese on it. Not too bad value for only $15, but the size of the meat could improve before this parma challenges for the best in the CBD. Apologies, no pictures this time around.

This was the Hawaiian parma from their "parma's of the world" menu available on Wednesday. The chips were well cooked and crispy but needed a lot of salt. The biggest concern of the dish was with the chicken quality - the texture seemed very un-breast like.

Great parma- thick chicken breast with a nice topping, chips were possibly the best i've ever had with a very generous serving of them. Great Pub, worth checking out the wednesday Parma special.
