The parma and pint special cost $18.00; available every day. This parma was consumed on 6.6.2010. The meal got off to a good start when they gave me a bowl and told me to help myself to the salad bar. Unfortunately, the salad didn’t look too good…I only had half a bowl. The parma itself was pretty good. The breast portion was quite tender, and a huge portion (see attached picture). It wasn’t perfect though, some parts of it were burnt. The topping was reasonable. The cheese tasted a bit cheap, but the shredded ham on top was quite flavourful. The parma topping lacked enough sauce though, but it might just be a personal preference. The chips were pretty good, could do with a larger portion and some seasoning on it. The salad was what let this parma down. Despite the access to the salad bar, the only other vegetable available was a lettuce leaf on the plate. Was it garnish? I’m not sure. I gave this a +1 for the giant size of the meat, which is what everybody comes for! Overall, a pretty good parma, above average. I’ll definitely come back here if I’m very hungry, and am in a mood for a decent feed. Please note, you need to be invited into the Tradies by an existing member, or do what I did – which is purchase a three year membership for $10.
